The tree standing tall
amid the forest,
needing nothing but the
light of the sun, the mist
of the rain and the nourishment
from the ground;
never feeling the touch of
another tree against its own
rough bark; not attaching
itself to another;
standing completely alone
amongst the crowd of trees.
